"Refund took way too long"
The truck rental itself was totally fine, no real complaints there. The annoying part was the refund. It took longer than I expected, and I had to follow up just to find out what was happening. I also got one of those canned apology responses, which doesn’t help much when you’re just waiting on your money. The refund did finally come through, so it wasn’t a disaster, but it definitely could’ve been handled faster.

"Couldn’t even get my receipt lol"
I rented from Budget Truck trying to get my receipt afterward was way more of a hassle than it needed to be. The website kept sending me in circles, and I couldn’t get to the documents I needed. Customer service didn’t really help much either. Annoying when all you’re trying to do is get proof of what you paid, lol.

I was just trying to book a truck online, but the website kept freezing and timing out on me. Pages were loading super slow, and my info disappeared twice. Come on now, I’m not retyping everything over and over. I finally gave up and just called instead.

I booked a truck thinking I had a good idea of what it was going to cost, but once I got into the contract, it started feeling a lot less straightforward. Some of the charges didn’t really stand out to me until later, it just made the whole thing feel more stressful than it needed to be.
I kept asking what different things meant, and the answers I got didn’t clear it up much. Maybe some of it was technically in the fine print, but when you’re trying to get a truck booked and your mind is already on moving day and all the random stuff you still have to pack, the costs should be easier to understand before you sign.

"Truck was fine, support wasn’t great"
The truck itself was okay, no real issues there. But getting help was kind of annoying. I called twice and got two different answers, which was frustrating, really frustrating. The person I talked to sounded rushed and like they didn’t really care much. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but if you think you’ll need support, I’d probably look somewhere else...

"Insurance details could’ve been clearer"
I booked a truck and everything was straightforward, which was a nice surprise, but the insurance info was where it kind of fell apart. I couldn’t tell what was actually covered and what wasn’t until I was already too far into the process. For a company that seems to have the booking part figured out, you’d think they could explain the insurance options a little better before checkout...

Just a warning for anyone planning a move: the one-way rental setup ended up being a real hassle for me. The pickup options were super inconvenient and made an already stressful moving day even harder. I’d definitely double-check the pickup details before booking so you don’t get stuck dealing with the same headache.

I had to cancel my truck booking it was more annoying than it needed to be. The website wasn’t super clear about what to do, so I ended up waiting and waiting to hear back from support. It did get canceled eventually, but the whole thing felt slow, messy, and just kind of frustrating

"Trying to log in turned into way more of a hassle than it should’ve been"
I didn’t expect something as simple as logging into my account or resetting my password to become such a whole ordeal, but that’s pretty much what happened. I couldn’t properly manage my account, the password reset process didn’t seem to work the way it was supposed to, and every time I thought I was getting somewhere, I ended up stuck again. I reached out to support hoping they could just help me get back in or point me to the right fix, but the responses were slow and not especially helpful. It felt like I kept getting sent to try the same steps over and over, or being passed around without anyone actually solving the problem. By the end of it, I was more frustrated than when I started.
"Got the move done, but the truck felt rough"
I rented through Budget Truck Rental, and while the price seemed reasonable to me, the truck itself was a bit of a letdown. It had dents all over it, the cab had that old, stale smell, and the seats didn’t feel very clean. To be fair, it did run and I was able to finish my move, but the loose steering and noisy brakes made me feel uneasy the whole time. Maybe I just got an older truck, but in my opinion, they really should inspect these vehicles more carefully before sending them out with customers.

I had to change my pickup time, it ended up being way more difficult than I expected. The website wasn’t very helpful, so I had to call in to get it sorted out. They did finally make the change, but the whole process felt inflexible and annoying.

"Truck sounded like enough, but wasn’t quite"
I booked a truck that was supposed to work for a 2-bedroom place, but it felt a lot smaller once we started loading everything in. Maybe I have more stuff than I think — which is very possible — but we ended up having to make extra trips, and that made moving day way longer and more stressful than I planned. The truck itself ran fine, no real issues there, but the size guide on the site didn’t end up being that helpful for my situation. If I did it again, I’d definitely go with the bigger option just to be safe

I reserved a truck ahead of time, but when I showed up to pick it up, there wasn’t one available. Super frustrating, especially after planning around it. Support didn’t really help either, it felt like I was just getting copy-paste responses instead of someone actually looking into the issue.

"Frustrating pickup and confusing drop-off"
I had a reservation, but picking up the truck still took close to an hour. The guy at the counter acted like I was bothering him and kind of talked down to me when I asked questions. Once I finally got the truck, it was dirty inside and had less gas than what they marked on the paperwork. Dropping it off wasn’t much better, the signs weren’t clear, nobody picked up the phone, and after I left the keys I still ended up getting charged extra. I definitely wouldn’t use budgettruck.com again.
